The SOAR 4m telescope seems to bristle with connectors and devices. The boxes hanging off the side are different cameras that are installed on the telescope. The array of small tubes sticking out of the bottom are little motors which help prevent the mirror from sagging out of shape as the telescope looks across the sky.
