Photography : Birds : Green Heron
A green heron stalks the shrimp in a pond along Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas. I was only in Austin for a few hours, and it was over 100oF, but I had to walk around the water and take pictures! I stalked this heron for a half an hour, watching it carefull step its way around the pond, until it lunged and caught a tasty shrimp.
