Photography : Birds : Sleepy Galah

A galah settles in for some sleep at the aviary on top of the Baltimore Aquarium in Maryland. Galah are a kind of parrot from Australia, related to the cockatiel. They have small fluffy crests which they can raise and lower. Like most parrots, theyare intelligent and engage in play activities. Their antics are responsible for the Aussie phrase "as drunk (or dumb) as a galah".
