Photography : Astronomy : Cold Moon Rising
The full Moon peers from behind the Organ Mountains at Skeene Hall on NMSU campus. This was taken in December close to the solstice, so the Moon is rising as far Northeast as possible. I biked from my office to my favorite Moon rising perch to snap this. According to the Farmer's Almanac, December's full Moon is called the Cold Moon.
