Photography : Astronomy : Ominous Sunset

The vanishing sunset light paints the clouds ominous colors beyond the McMath-Pierce Solar Telescope at the Kitt Peak National Observatory in Arizona. This is the largest telescope for studying the Sun in the world, and the slanted shaft is 300 feet (91 meters) long! The bad weather is expected because I was at Kitt Peak National Observatory during the Southwest's rainy season; KPNO normally is clear the rest of the year.
