Photography : Land & Sky : Santiago
Santiago, Chile, is a huge sprawling metropolis that mixes old and new with style. Santiago was my port of entry the few times I've visited Chile to use telescopes. I try to arrange my trips so that I can take a day and explore the city. The zoo is perched on the side of a small mountain. The steep climb is worth the amazing view. I snapped this panorama near the condor exhibit, but it only shows a fraction of the entire city. The giant city also sports a strong haze to my Southwest-spoiled eye.
