Photography : Land & Sky: Tololo Radio Shack
A small radio facility housed in a sun-baked shack rest wearily along a path to the top of Cerro Tololo in Chile.The facilities on the mountain were built in the late 60s/early 70s and retain their ... period look. I think photos of the construction might even show this very same shack when it was first built!
When I first arrive on the mountain, I tend to walk around and take pictures. I was not thinking terribly clearly, or I would have heeded the UV warning and the knowledge that I was now 7000 feet (2200 m) above sea level. The short of it: I got really sunburned.
