Photography : Land & Sky : Impressionist Ducks
Ducks relax on the water while the wind ruffles the surface like an impressionist painting. I love how this photo reverses the normal vertical order of things, with the sky and trees at the bottom and the grass and ducks at the top. In the development where I grew up, the grates in the streets all drain to a large catchment basin in the middle of the neighborhood. In the Winter this is a great place to go sledding and ice skating. In the Summer it sometimes acts as a rest stop to ducks.
