Photography : Land & Sky: La Cueva and the Organ Mountains
North of Las Cruces is Dripping Springs at the base of the Organ Mountains. It's a great place for hiking, climbing, and camping. There is a cave ("cueva") in an impressive pile of rocks, where according to lore a hermit lived. The cave is roped off as an archeological site, but you are allowed to look into it.
