Photography : Fauna: Dancing Lionfish
I've been to Baltimore a number of times, but I've only been to the famous Baltimore Aquarium twice (and since once was when I was a kid, I'm not sure how much it counts). Fish, I thought, are not interesting; and the optics of the fish tanks makes it tough to take pictures, anyway. Nonetheless, I brought my camera (mainly to take pictures in the aviary on the roof) because I'm slight obsessed with taking pictures. Imagine my surprise when I was enchanted by the lionfish tank. Granted, these mighty fiesty fish sport some amazing frills; but they moved gracefully and looked almost like birds with feathery wings that I had to take a few pictures. A few turned into 20 or so.
