Photography : Birds : Wandering Woodpecker
A woodpecker pair poked about the trees outside the Astronomy department on NMSU campus. I only saw the male briefly (see picture below), but the female lingered longer and I was able to get a few photos of her. Based on their face and belly markings I tentatively concluded that they are Ladder-backed Woodpeckers.
