A Cooper's Hawk glares down with its disconcerting red-eyed gaze. I spied this beauty while walking back from a meeting on NMSU campus. Being the bird-crazy person that I am, I dashed back to the Astronomy department to grab my camera and spent a half an hour taking pictures (to the bemusement of passers-by).
