The advantage to living in a smaller town (verus a city) is that you can escape the light pollution by driving 30 minutes outside town. Dark skies are best enjoyed with friends and telescopes! I amused myself by taking silhouette photos ... at night. Below are a few more silhouette shots, as well as a panorama of the Milky Way.
